Shattuck Middle School in the Neenah School District was sold to a private developer, and they have great long term plans for the property. The center of the original school will, in essence, become a youth sports center. We have worked closely with the ownership group to help define spaces and policies so that we can have an amazing new home.

We want to have access to more court hours per week with added flexibility to have more solo court time, run leagues, lessons, host our own tournament series, and we want access to better teaching/learning spaces for teams to engage with our AMP curriculum, have team meetings, and have film sessions for age groups and/or teams. We also wanted a space that wasn't shared with our competitors. We believe we may have found such a place.

Area of access: Our staff, players, and families will only have access to the areas that we are able to utilize. The building will be set up in a way that we will have card access to one entrance while other entrances will be fire exit only. On the interior, gates and additional doorways will be created. The spaces in blue/green is what we will have access to:

Courts: We will have four total training courts and three competition courts for tournaments. Two are located in the OJ gym and two are located in the North Gym.

Flex/Office: There is also a large Mez above the OJ gym where teams and staff can come in to put all their gear. This will be a place for teams to hang out, warm up, and there is also an enclosed office that we will have that overlooks the gym. There will also be cardio equipment in the Mez that we can use. This space is large enough to not only warm up but do group fitness workouts.

Meeting/Concessions: There is a large cafeteria that we can use for large club wide meetings. It can also be divided into three segments if we have a use for smaller/multiple meeting spaces (media day, parent lounge, etc.), and during tournaments, it is ideal for serving and eating.

Classrooms: We have access to one classroom with AV that is a typical size, and another that can either be a large room or divided by a wall to create two additional regular sized classrooms. Each wall of the flex space will have AV so we could run three team meetings at once if we wanted. If you add in all three cafeteria spaces, there are 6 different meeting spaces that can be used simultaneously.

Branding: We are rebranding the interior space to be the home of Spiketown USA. We will also have a large exterior sign on the parking lot side. Here are some examples of what the branding theme could look like:

As more details come out, we will share them with all of our families and staff members. As for now, we're super excited to embark on this new adventure and make this new facility a home.
